Thanks to Erica Sadun you can now stream music and books from your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad to your computer using airplay.
Sadun is still beta testing the app dubbed BananaTunes. The app will eventually be bundled into another one of her amazing creations, the BananaTV app, which allows you to stream photo’s, movies and shows from your iPod, iPhone or iPad to your Mac.
BananaTunes is currently free for a limited-time since its beta, and Sadun is using information from testers to work out what bugs there are.
I ran it today to play an audio-book by Stephen King, streamed it from my iPhone 4 for 30 minutes with out a single problem. I also tested it from my iPad 2 for 30 minutes, noticed that it skipped one word in the first 5 minutes, but never again did it to that.
You can install BananaTunes on your Mac here.

To use the application just make sure both your iPod, iPhone or iPad and your Mac are using the same WiFi connection and home-sharing is enabled. Then press Airplay on your device and then select your computers name, and Kaboom, streaming to your Mac.
